Lisa Ling is an American journalist, TV presenter and author, first appearing as one of the youngest reporter-anchors on Channel One News at age 18, her reporting in Iran, Afghanistan and other warn-torn countries broadcast into classrooms in the ‘90s and early 2000s. She then held positions as a field correspondent for The Oprah Winfrey Show (gleaning wise words from the media mogul along the way: “Now that you know, you can’t pretend that you don’t,”) for Nightline and National Geographic’s Explorer, and as co-host on The View (where she earned an Emmy). Ling currently hosts This Is Life with Lisa Ling on CNN.
